My research investigates the relationship between interoception, dissociation, and the sense of self through behavioral and psychophysiological approaches. I use both correlational and causal experimental designs in neurotypical and clinical populations, with a particular focus on eating disorders. I have contributed to studies examining the link between interoceptive abilities and alterations in self-experience, combining cardiac electrophysiological measures with experimental manipulations. I have also been involved in the analysis of behavioral data exploring how body representation influences cognitive control in Anorexia Nervosa. My current work examines whether integrating interoceptive signals into exteroceptive visuo-tactile interpersonal stimulation enhances its effectiveness in reducing body image and body schema distortions in Anorexia Nervosa.
