I graduated with a master’s in psychology from the University of York, where I explored individuals' perceptions of the intent behind actions across the Autism Spectrum. I then graduated from Sapienza University of Rome with a master’s in Cognitive Neuroscience, where I defended my thesis on the heterogeneity of the human retrosplenial cortex and its functional connectivity. During my research internship, I studied interoception and its variation among individuals at risk of hypertension. As a PhD student in Psychology and Social Neuroscience, I aim to deepen my understanding of interoception in healthy and clinical populations using a range of psychophysiological measures and immersive virtual reality. I have started investigating the typical and atypical psychophysiological correlates of body-related self-disgust, which has allowed me to develop skills in several techniques, including ECG, EGG and EEG.
