My academic background is grounded in Functional Neuroanatomy, with a Master’s thesis examining the plasticity of body representations in relation to tool embodiment. I am currently exploring how the interacting contributions of the sense of ownership and the sense of agency influence moral decision-making, leveraging virtual reality to experimentally modulate Bodily-Self Consciousness. In parallel, I am conducting a research project investigating how stigma influences empathy for pain and pleasure; combining neural (EEG), neurophysiological (skin conductance response and heart rate), and behavioral measures.
