My previous research experience has focused on the investigation of the emotion of disgust, examining its physiological and behavioral aspects. I have used different physiological recording techniques, such as electrogastrogram, electrocardiogram, and the smart pill. In recent years, I have worked as a research assistant, collaborating on studies exploring the modulation of disgust through neuromodulation techniques such as Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) and Transcutaneous Vagus Nerve Stimulation (tVNS). Building on these skills, I also contributed to a virtual reality study investigating cognitive and physiological responses to stress. Currently, my research focuses on clinical populations characterized by heightened sensitivity to disgust, with a particular interest in the integration of therapeutic interventions and neuromodulation techniques.
