I hold a Master’s degree in “Cognitive Neuroscience and Clinical Neuropsychology” from the University of Padova. During my studies, my interests evolved from affective to forensic neuroscience, with a particular focus on how behavioural measures and neuroimaging techniques can inform psychological well-being. I investigated EEG and ECG markers in mood disorders and gained experience in neuropsychological and psychiatric evaluations within forensic settings. I am currently investigating how social stigma modulates empathic processes, specifically toward individuals associated with criminal behaviour. This project adopts a multimodal approach, combining behavioural, physiological, and EEG measures in an empathy-for-pain paradigm. Additionally, I will contribute to examining the causal role of medial frontal regions in performance monitoring through transcranial focused ultrasound stimulation (tFUS), assessing its effects on cognitive conflict, error processing, and associated physiological activity.
