My previous research experience focused on the neural correlates of empathy. In particular, the first project aimed at investigating, via EEG technique, the link between dehumanization and empathy, while the second project concerned the effects of physical barriers in modulating the neural empathic response to others’ pain.
Currently, I am interested in exploring how interoceptive signals (e.g., gastric, cardiac, respiratory) vary in different pathologies (e.g., gastric, urologic, reproductive system pathologies). I am also interested in the investigation of female leadership using immersive virtual reality (IVR).
