I took actively part to several behavioral experiments that adopted both correlational and causal approaches to investigate the relationship between interoception and dissociation in neurotypical controls and clinical populations (in particular eating disorders) and also in the data analysis of a behavioral experiment that tested how body representation affects cognitive control in Anorexia Nervosa. Currently, I am investigating the existing relationship between alterations in the sense of self and interoceptive abilities through the acquisition and use of cardiac electrophysiological signals and experimental manipulation techniques. I am also working on a systematic review on the relationship between interoception and dissociation in neurotypical and clinical populations.
