I am a third-year PhD student (37th Cycle of PhD Admissions). I am currently involved with research projects that majorly overlook explorations of the subject of interoception. In a precise sense, I am currently involved in projects exploring the dynamic relationship the construct of interoception shares with alterations of bodily self and physical activity. In bodily alterations, I have worked in a team under Prof. Bufalari on a systematic review exploring the relationship between interoception and dissociation, a generally agreed upon negative alteration of bodily self. Furthermore, as I move to my final year I have also proposed to explore the relationship between interoception and the state of flow, which can be assumed to be a sort of positive alteration of bodily self. Coming to the relationship between interoception and physical activity, I am currently working on a study exploring the how the relationship between interoceptive ability and various kinds of sport practitioners. I also have engaged in activities that help me improve my research skills overall by working on analysis of heart rate data, presenting and attending in the monthly lab meetings, and submitting research projects and studies to present them in scientific conferences and colloquium.
