My previous research experience was mainly focused on the topic of joint actions. Together with my colleagues, I investigated the physiological and neural underpinnings of motor coordination in healthy individuals and in apraxic patients. In this context, I used a variety of recording (ECG, kinematics) and stimulation techniques (tDCS and TMS). In addition, I was also involved in a research project that studied how deception is affected by the way in which social status is acquired. Currently, I am interested in the use of immersive virtual reality as a means of promoting social change through the embodiment of civic heroes. I am also interested in exploring the way in which the brain and the body process an error and how they respond to it.
