I am currently a post-doctoral researcher at AgliotiLab. My present research builds upon the experimental work I began during my research period abroad at Université Paris Cité, under the supervision of Prof. Louise Kirsch, and continues in Italy. In parallel, I have recently started investigating the behavioural and physiological correlates of acute isolation and food deprivation. My previous and ongoing work at AgliotiLab focuses on the neural basis of sensorimotor resonance, social cognition, and the representation of body and actions during joint actions, both in healthy individuals and clinical populations. I explore these phenomena using motion kinematics and non-invasive brain stimulation techniques. I collaborate with BalLab on research exploring the interplay between psychological distance, conversation, interoception, and social interaction. Additionally, I am involved in a collaborative project with Prof. Ashok Jansari’s team investigating the impact of aphantasia—the inability to visualize mental imagery—on the processing of abstract and concrete concepts. My PhD project aimed to understand how multisensory integration is modulated in interactive contexts and how this influences interpersonal space representation. This work also deepened my interest in the relationship between visuo-tactile integration, body ownership, and social cognition.
